New Toy Debut - Kevin’s Remote Control Car

Now available for your driving excitement is the remote controlled version of Kevin Levin’s green muscle car. This is a smaller version of the well known vehicle from Alien Force complete with car noises and working headlights.

The car Itself is about 8.5″ long and a good sturdy replica of the one from the show. It requires four AA batteries for the car plus one 9V battery for the remote to get going, as these are not included. I recommend investing in some rechargeable AA’s, because if you’re anything like me, you’ll be going through a set a day.

The remote control is shaped just like the Omnitrix, and it is really really neat ( though in Spectre’s humble opinion, it would have made more sense as a plumbers badge). Two buttons on the top are pressed for forwards and backwards movement, while the Omnitrix dial is used to steer left and right.

Upon turning the car on the headlights will come on and a car ignition sound is made. The headlights can not be turned off but are a very cool feature, especially when driving in darkened areas- it gives of a sweet alien green glow to the front of the car. That’s right, the headlights are GREEN. They also serve as a “sort-of” battery indicator as they will dim when the car is moving to conserve power when batteries are low.

When you turn the car with the dial all the way to the left or right it gives off one other noise - a tire screech. This is funny and a cool addition but it can also get annoying when it does it every single time you turn heavy ( as if R/C cars aren’t loud enough).

The antenna is flexible enough to get under any small spaces where the car may roam, and both the car and remote antennas are topped with a small black Omnitrix logo.
The car features the standard steering control trim on the bottom to adjust the vehicle’s steering if it veers in a certain direction. I haven’t tested transmitter distance yet, but the instructions say it should go up to approx 26ft.
I’ve taken some pictures and stuff for the site, but you’ll have to wait. I’m too busy playin’ with this awesome car.
